The Sill ‘National Landscape Discovery Centre’ and combined Youth Hostel — together with the Twice Brewed Inn — are possibly the best-known non-Roman ‘sites’ on Hadrian’s Wall. After a long day’s walking or cycling along some of the most exhilarating stretches of the Wall, they also make a most welcome ‘sight’ — particularly in winter. The Sill is a great base for exploring the main sections of Hadrian’s Wall: it is within walking distance of Vindolanda and Steel Rigg, and only a short drive to the Roman Army Museum or Housesteads.
At Go Hadrian’s Wall we have a range of vehicles, and provide flexible travel for any number of people, up to and including groups of 20 or more.
