Steel Rigg

Steel Rigg and Crag Lough is one of the best viewpoints for Hadrians Wall.  Crag Lough was formed by glaciers in the last Ice Age and is one of the four Roman Wall Loughs; others are Broomlee, Greenlee and Halleypike.

  • Facilities: none – the terrain features footpaths and tracks, some short, sharp ascents, and may be muddy in places.
